In a world of unlimited accessibility, we are under increasing pressures from all areas of society and are increasingly unavailable to each other. People in general, lack ‘time’ and time is the one thing we all need. The result is a record number of people suffering from a wide range of problems looking for someone who can help them.

Many of these problems have only recently appeared in any significant number and are being attributed to life in the current day. For example, young people with social phobias and anxiety promoted by the pressure of social media and the need to look and be perfect. The resulting problems are having devastating effects on both the individuals and their families, and medication, for many, is no longer the sole answer. It can alleviate and mask many symptoms, but it cannot provide inner strength, fight and the determination to mentally overcome.

I believe that for many of these people the answer lies within and that with assistance, they have the inner resources to address their issues and make the positive changes they need in order to live happily and without concern.

This same assistance can help sufferers of some medical conditions, such as IBS, live more easily with their symptoms. Hypnotherapy can in no way replace required medication, however it can complement treatments for a wide variety of people and I feel that, in a different way to other therapies, hypnotherapy can give a client a much closer connection with their inner self and instil a feeling of control over their feelings and their behaviours.
